1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or utilizing any services provided by Pratheeksha Counselling (hereafter “the Practice”), including but not limited to in-person consultations, online sessions, workshops, or digital content, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you disagree with any part, you must refrain from using our services.

2. Confidentiality & Privacy
  • Professional Standards: All counselling sessions and records are confidential in accordance with the ethical guidelines.
  • Exceptions: Confidentiality may be breached only under these circumstances:
    • Imminent risk of harm to yourself or others
    • Suspected abuse or neglect of a minor/vulnerable adult
    • Court-ordered disclosure
  • Data Protection: Personal information is stored securely and used solely for therapeutic purposes. See our separate Privacy Policy for details.
3. Appointments & Cancellations
  • Booking: Appointments can be scheduled via phone, email, or our online portal. A confirmation will be sent upon booking.
  • Cancellation Policy:
    • Minimum 24-hour notice required for cancellations/rescheduling.
    • Late cancellations (less than 24 hours) or no-shows will incur a fee of 50% of the session cost.
    • Repeated cancellations may result in termination of services.
  • Late Arrivals: Sessions will end at the scheduled time regardless of late arrival.
4. Fees & Payments
  • Session Costs: Fees vary by service type (individual, couple, etc.) and will be communicated prior to booking.
  • Payment Methods: We accept bank transfers, UPI, credit/debit cards, and cash. Payment is due at the time of service unless a prior arrangement is made.
  • Refunds: Fees for completed sessions are non-refundable. Pre-paid packages may be partially refunded under exceptional circumstances, at the Practice’s discretion.
5. Client Responsibilities
  • Honesty: Provide accurate medical/psychological history, including current medications or treatments.
  • Participation: Actively engage in the therapeutic process to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Conduct: Maintain respectful communication. The Practice reserves the right to terminate services if a client exhibits abusive, threatening, or discriminatory behavior.
6. Limitations of Counselling Services
  • Not a Crisis Service: For emergencies (e.g., suicidal thoughts), contact local emergency services or a crisis hotline immediately.
  • Medical Disclaimer: Counselling does not replace psychiatric, medical, or legal interventions. Clients with severe mental health conditions must continue prescribed treatments alongside therapy.
7. Intellectual Property

All materials provided (worksheets, videos, articles) are copyrighted and for personal use only. Unauthorized distribution, modification, or commercial use is prohibited.

8. Online Counselling
  • Technology Requirements: Clients are responsible for ensuring a stable internet connection and private environment for online sessions.
  • Recording Prohibited: Sessions may not be recorded without explicit written consent from the therapist.
9. Modifications to Terms

The Practice may update these terms periodically. Clients will be notified of significant changes via email or website announcements. Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of revised terms.

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of [State/Country]. Any disputes will first attempt resolution through mediation.
